Zamfara State Civil Servants To Be Paid 30% Of Their Basic Salary As 13th Month Salary As Gov Lawal Gives Approval

The 13th month’s salary for Zamfara State’s civil and public servants has been approved by Governor Dauda Lawal.

The Zamfara State Head of Service announced the approval in a circular on December 28, 2024.

Suleiman Bala Idris, the governor’s spokesperson, made this announcement in a statement.

The statement claims that the 13th month’s wage is the second of its type in Zamfara State’s history, with Lawal’s administration having paid the first one in December of last year.

As the thirteenth month’s salary, “Zamfara civil and public servants, including retirees, will receive a bonus of thirty percent of their basic salary.”

By giving them additional financial support throughout the holidays, this program recognizes the commitment and diligence of the Zamfara workers.

“One of several initiatives aimed at empowering workers and fostering economic growth in Zamfara State is the 13th-month salary payment.”

“The government has fulfilled its promises by approving a minimum wage of N70,000, ensuring that workers’ salaries are paid on time, and clearing over N10 billion in gratuities owed over the previous 11 years.”
