Torturing His Stepson With Hot Knife For Stealing N20 In Edo

An Akwa Ibom man has been arrested
by officials of the Edo State Police Command for allegedly inflicting injuries
on his step son whom he accused of theft.

It was gathered that the incident
happened at Erediuwa Quarter off Sapele Road in Benin City, Edo state on
Saturday, May 16.

According to a neighbour, who spoke
to activist and coordinator of human rights group, Talakwa Parliament, the
suspect allegedly assaulted the boy and burned his body with a hot knife
claiming he stole N20 to buy groundnut and sugar which he used to drink Garri.
