Niger Pilgrims Welfare Board Commences 2023 Hajj Refund Disbursement
The Niger State Pilgrims Welfare Board has declared that the process of giving pilgrims their 2023 Hajj reimbursement has begun.
This comes after the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, or NAHCON, refunded N225,934,920 for services that were not provided during the 2023 Hajj.
Sheikh Muhammad Awwal Aliyu, the Executive Secretary of NAHCON, said this in a statement that Public Relations Officer Jibrin Usman Kodo signed. According to him, N61,080, or 150 Saudi Riyals, will be reimbursed to each of the 3,699 pilgrims from Niger State.
He disclosed that a committee has been established to supervise the payout procedure, which consists of the board’s management and liaison officers from local government regions.
In order to guarantee that all pilgrims who participated in the 2023 Hajj activity receive their money, the Executive Secretary emphasized that the committee will maintain accountability and openness in the payout procedure.
Additionally, Sheikh Aliyu pledged that the money will be disbursed on schedule.
