A yet-to-be-identified Greendale woman was arrested after she was caught red-handed having sex with a 13-year-old boy at the teenager’s parents’ home in Houghton Park, Zimbabwe.

 

The mother of the minor suffered the shock of her life when she returned to her home on Tuesday, February 23, to discover that the woman had sexually abused her son. She immediately called the police, which led to the arrest of the defendant.

 

Police spokesman Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed the arrest and also revealed that investigations into the case were already underway and details will be released in due course.

 

Nyathi said;

 

“The Republic of Zimbabwe Police wish to confirm the arrest of a woman who was allegedly caught having sex with a minor in Houghton Park.”

 

When interviewed by H-Metro, the lady said that she did not commit any crime since it was the boy who invited her to have sex at her parents’ house.

 

What did I do wrong and how did I know his parents’ house if he hadn’t called me?

We had protected sex and I don’t see any reason why I could be treated like a thief or a robber.

In Zimbabwe, having sex with a minor is a criminal offense even if the minor consents to it. It is a serious crime that attracts jail time.

The woman was taken to the Waterfalls Police Station, where she is currently being detained.
