Fulani Man Vouches Support For Sunday Igboho, Reveals Where Killer Herdsmen Come From
The controversial fight led by Sunday Igboho to expel criminal herdsmen from Yoruba communities is getting stronger by on a daily basis.
Though criticized, many still feel that the strategy is largely effective.
Many Fulani herdsmen were evicted from the communities and their properties destroyed, as the activist invaded their habitations days ago.
Interestingly, the action has resulted in some Fulani people coming out to air the traumatic experience, their positions, and thoughts about what is currently being unfolded by the Yoruba man.
A Fulani man, the first son of Seriki Fulani in Eggua, Salaimon Adamu, whose home was also destroyed by Sunday Igboho, spoke to Sahara Reporters on Monday.
Adamu expressed his frustration on the issue, stating that he and his family are not criminal herdsmen. He maintained that they were peaceful and law-abiding settlers who had a good relationship with the Yoruba people.
He claimed that the criminal Fulani herdsmen are those from the north central states, such as Sokoto, Kebbi, etc., and encouraged the government and Sunday Igboho to attack and treat them harshly. Adamu feels that rotten eggs have ruined the reputation of the entire Fulani tribe.
Speaking to Sahara Reporters, he said: “… People do not know that the Fulani herdsmen of Upper Niger are the criminals. The Fulani herdsmen of Sokoto, Kebbi and other central North areas are the ones who kill the people … these nomads are the criminals that the government must fight and punish so that Nigeria can have peace. “
On his thoughts on what Sunday Igboho is doing, he said: “… I fully support Sunday Igboho in helping us arrest these criminals. But what I’m not happy about is that they also generalize when they are doing their job ….”
