Former Chelsea Player Oscar Departs Shanghai SIPG, Returns To São Paulo

Oscar, the former attacking midfielder for Chelsea, has returned to São Paulo following his departure from Shanghai SIPG, a Chinese club.

Fabrizio Romano, a football transfer specialist, revealed this in a tweet on Tuesday through his X account.

On Christmas Eve, São Paulo confirmed that an agreement had been reached for Oscar, a former Chelsea player, to join the team.

Romano tweeted, “Done, sealed.”

After 14 years away from Brazil, Oscar signs a three-year contract with São Paulo.

After a contract dispute, he left in 2010 to join Internacional, although he will soon return from an eight-year spell with Shanghai SIPG.

Prior to his unexpected departure to China, Oscar also played for Chelsea from 2012 to 2017.
