Ecobank Unveils Design & Build Competition For Architectural Students In Nigerian Universities Institutions

Ecobank Nigerian has unveiled it’s premier edition of its design and build competition tagged, “Design & Build Pavilion Competion (Expo2024)”.

The competition is an architectural competition opened to students studying architecture in Nigerian universities nationwide, through their various faculties.

The requirements of the competition are as follow:

Competitors are to take note of the following:

• Design for a shading unit using largely local and sustainable materials to occupy a floor area of approximately 9 square meters and 2.9 meters high.
• The design should be implementable with a maximum cost of N5 million per pavilion.
• The design should provide for adequate lighting protection from direct rays with options for natural ventilation.
• The floor plan should allow efficient use of space and practicable arrangement of furniture, to seat 6 people together.
• The design should utilize eco-friendly, light-weight sustainable materials for low-cost construction.
• The design should be easy to prefabricate/pre-cast in 2 weeks and install on site with 48 hours.
