Shenzhen, in southern China, was rocked after a skyscraper that began shaking, forcing residents to evacuate. There was no earthquake detected in Shenzhen, officials said.

SEG Plaza, one of Shenzhen’s tallest buildings at 984 feet (300 meters), was damaged by structural issues on Tuesday. Lightning, strong winds, and a fire damaged the tower, which is home to an electronics market and numerous offices.

A clip purportedly filmed inside the building shows the interior of a room shaking. Several videos posted on social media show the building swaying back and forth.

As people fled through the streets below the precarious wobble of the skyscraper, they shouted and horned as they turned back a few times to look at the structure.

After everyone inside the building was ushered out, the building was sealed shut, according to reports.

Despite the fact that no earthquake was recorded in the city today, government officials said they were investigating what caused the skyscraper to wobble.
