The Adamawa State Police Command has arrested a 75-year-old man for allegedly attempting to rape a 25-year-old woman.
DAILY POST reported on Tuesday that police arrested a man, Emmanuel Jjaja, in Mukvini village in Hong Local Government Area.
In a statement released to the press, provincial police spokesperson Suleiman Nugroje said the man who invited the young woman to his home tried to take full advantage of her presence at his home. .
“He invited the victim to his home and made sudden and forceful attempts to obtain illicit sexual knowledge about her until she resisted,” Nguroje said.
“The investigation so far has revealed that the victim used a razor blade to try to stop the act and severed his erect penis, causing serious injuries and is currently being hospitalized for treatment,” he said. “I did it.”
Nguroje added that the state Commissioner of Police, Afolabi Babatola, had directed the head of the Family Support Unit to take over the investigation and ensure prosecution.
